Johns Hopkins University Commencement

Role: Creative Director, Video Producer, Video Editor

To celebrate the graduating class of 2021, Johns Hopkins University approached TAIT to produce their Commencement. Which, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic was meant to be fully virtual, but ultimately became a hybrid ceremony featuring both in-person and online festivities. They also asked us to respond to an RFP to produce video for the Commencement and in my role I worked alongside the show producing team to execute on the creative we pitched.

Scope Breakdown

As the Video Producer, I oversaw a team of camera operators, editors, and designers providing feedback, creative direction to the team as we collaborated on producing 70+ pieces of content for Johns Hopkins annual commencement ceremony. I worked closely with our event production team to respond to and develop or RFP response participating in the Creative as well as pitching directly to the client. I then worked with the project team and the client to advance this ambitious project through pre, production, and post.

The final product was a 2 hour, 36 minute program video and the culmination of six month’s work (3 months pre-production, 1.5 months production, and 1.5 months post-production).
